Baldwin Racing Calls on Sage to Built a Fleet

The Baldwin's are synonymous with success in Off Road Racing. Competing professionally in Championship Off Road Racing (CORR) series as well as SCORE INTERNATIONAL's premier Trophy-Truck class - they are the highest echelon and most recognized name in competitive desert racing who contends for the win with every entry.

	This self-supporting team requires military style logistics just to show up to a race, let alone pre run, compete and chase. This requires a fleet of vehicles, dependable hardware, enterprise management, satellite communication and outstanding leadership... and they've got it. This year the operations and logistics arm of the organization decided on 4 brand new Dodge CTD's for their fleet of support vehicles. These trucks are going to earn their paycheck in the Baldwin family.
The duties and scope of this initiative carries the weight of supporting this year's SCORE Baja 1000 race. These trucks will provide a platform for full field chase support for the Trophy Truck. Each of these rigs will be outfitted with over a ton of gear. Full tool sets, onboard air compressors and welders as well as carry spare tires and fuel. The demand on this fleet is incredible.
Just for this year's Baja 1000, these trucks will support the pre run and race programs, seeing a mix of on and off road conditions. 1000 miles from Ensenada to Cabo, one way... this fleet is tasked with on course pre running support for a month in Mexico and will see approximately 4,000 miles of Baja terrain in those 30 days. Times that by 4 trucks and you have yourself 16,000 Mexican miles, carrying thousands of pounds of support equipment and the responsibility of the entire race season. These trucks have to be rock solid.

Looking for the Right Man

Outfitting the new fleet was a case of business due diligence. Intelligent and successful, the Baldwin Organization looked at ALL OF THE OPTIONS for the best possible Dodge suspension system on the market. Honoring contractual obligations to their sponsors, the Baldwin Team required a unique solution for this initiative, along with reliability, performance and a provider they can count on. In the end, Sage Carli was their man. The Orange County suspension shop is now tasked with supporting this massive desert racing effort by building systems for their fleet. This was announced in August of 2007 and is a positive relationship in development.

Anyone at a CORR race or in Mexico this October will see these trucks at work. The Baldwin Organization is proud to showcase this engagement and had this to say: "These are also going to be used as crew transport and tow vehicles for each California CORR race. They will be used to transport parts and team members to and from our pits at CORR. They will be THE vehicles associated with our crew!"
