Performance 2.5 Dodge Ram Suspension System

The first system featuring King Off Road 2.5 Race Shocks and Carli's first premier suspension kit. The performance 2.5 has been around since day 1 and, naturally, has been through the longest refinement period of any Carli system. Sporting a plush street drive that will give you a "car like" feel, while still letting you pound some humps in the dirt. The first seasons chasing and running support in Baja were done using Performance 2.5 system on our Dodge Ram trucks.

Moving up the chain


The Bilstein 2.65 shocks brings a new level of off-road performance. Bilstein 9100 series shocks deliver an incredible amount of performance and offer a super-controlled feel with more initial compression. The two shocks are very close to each other in all-around performance and feel, but the 2.65 would take the trophy in a head to head contest in the dirt. Larger piston surface area means more pressure which means more dampening capability and we've just taken this shock farther.


The amount of development that took place around the 3" King shock brought the piston innovation and 4-tube by-passes with long-travel leafs. The 3.0 King shock is the largest that you can bolt on your Dodge Ram. This shock will deliver more dampening than the truck can handle, so when you go 3's, you're at a hardware ceiling as far as performance goes. After this, you'll be bending tube and gussetting your truck.
