"The last Dodge Ram Lower Ball Joint you'll ever need." |
Creating the Extreme Duty Lower Ball Joint for Dodge Ram TrucksThe Carli R&D process was intensified during the development of our lower ball joints, and the end result - a backed for life product. Our customers are the beneficiaries of aerospace engineering, CNC precision and a couple of outside processes. The design was scrutinized, the construction underwent two revisions for installation and assembly improvements and the final fitment ends with a match machining process. Before these ball joints are put together, a machinist joins the assembly and hand checks the fitment, making two-thousandths of an inch corrections - until it's right. Every part is checked after each step in the construction process.
Increased Feel and Axle PerformanceBy removing even .0625 inches of deflection times two axle ends omits 1/6" of an inch, or more, of ball joint deflection. You can feel it in the steering wheel. 35 and 37 inch tires, more stress and off-road impacts only exaggerate the movement, and subsequently, its affect. Your truck feels tighter and the steering wheel goes numb, even over pot holes and rail road tracks. The secondary tire movement, once eliminated, gives you a more controlled feel. Sometimes when you hit a sharp lip on the street, it feels like you hit two bumps, that aftershock is the tire's secondary movement from O.E.M. lower ball joint deflection. The front end of your truck will feel improved, or we'll buy the product back from you - guaranteed. ProvenShown here is the first prototype lower ball joint pin that has thousands of miles on and off the road. It's been through all of our playgrounds from Barstow to Baja and the final inspection shows a perfect mirror finish. For production, we took it a step further with additional hardening.
